Facebook's Ohio Network is huge- but I found a tidier group named "Addicted to Alden" and found a good number of Learning 2.0 Facebook collegues. Other suggestions welcome- I'd love to use a site like this to field ref questions- is anyone having success on that front?
Facebook has some applications you can add to your profile that let you do this (just search the applications page for Librarian). I don't know of anyone that is using these -- I think a couple of librarians at Alden are putting the Meebo application in Facebook, which lets people talk to you via a chat window from your Facebook profile page.
